My high school friend Matt had his birthday dinner on Saturday May 10th. The location for the dinner was at a place called K’s Restaurant (near Russell Square in Northbridge, very close to the Golden Century Chinese Restaurant). The birthday dinner was only a small select group of Matt’s close friends. I hadn’t seen many of them for a few months so it was pretty good having a catch up with them.
The food at K’s Restaurant was actually quite interesting as it was considered a ‘fusion’ cuisine. A culmination of Japanese and French cuisines to create very unique dishes was what was presented on the menu. The meal itself consisted of 5 or 6 courses and costed around $40-$50 which actually isn’t too bad considering the different types of ingredients we got to sample. So far so good right? Well here comes the bad bit. We arrived at the restaurant at 7pm and we left the restaurant just after 11pm. Yes! It took that long to serve our meal. So unless you have ample time to eat I wouldn’t recommend this place, but if you have nothing but time on your hands - it comes with a high recommendation barr dessert.
Besides the food, Carine and I had a great time catching up with old friends. Throughout the night I laughed so hard that I shed many a tear. Well, if you’re reading this Matt (I’m sure you are) – Happy 24th Birthday and have a great trip in Europe over the next few weeks!
Ciao.

Wow, brilliant post Alan, if I can say so from an unbiased point of view :P
Glad you enjoyed the night - was happy to have you and Carine there to celebrate it with me.
I agree with the food coming out at a snails pace - however, the company and chance to catch up was more than worth it.
Funny that I only read this post on the last day of my trip.
Catch you soon!
