On Saturday I woke up at around 7am as Carine wanted me over early to help out before the wedding. So I washed up and got changed into my new suit. I left the house at around 7:45am and arrived at Carine’s house at about 8:15am. When I got there the house was buzzing from one corner to the other. There was a make up artist working on the bride’s maids and a hair dresser (aka Andrew) tizzying up hair as well. Carine’s mum made some scrambled eggs on toast and I ate that for my breakfast. I later went upstairs to see if Sebestian needed some help. He was actually having trouble with the slideshow that he had made for the wedding lunch. I took a look at it and we managed to fix it eventually. At this point you’re probably wondering what Sebestian is doing in the house with Eileen. Don’t worry; Sebestian didn’t see Eileen in her dress as he left early with me to church.
Once we got to church we quickly organised all the niggly bits and pieces that needed to be setup. After that people started to arrive and eventually the church sanctuary was full. The clock was counting down until the bride would arrive and guests were still arriving. Finally, when everyone got seated me and the rest of the groom’s men went to the front and waited for the bride and her bride’s maids to come in. The music started playing and Audrey walked in slowly following a 1-2-3 step configuration. Carine and Theresa followed soon after. After the bride’s maids had took their place at the front Eileen walked in with Uncle Patrick. They walked to the front and everyone took their seats. At this point I won’t go through the details of ceremony as it’s what you would expect at every wedding. After the ceremony had concluded everyone had gathered into the church fellowship hall for lunch and the cake cutting. The food was plentiful and the cake was stunning. After lunch we went back to Carine’s house for a rest.
Note: I would like to thank those who helped clean up the church after we left - you did a stellar job which allowed Carine's family and myself to rest - we were buggered.
The celebration continued with a smaller and more intimate dinner with close family and friends. It was held at Northbridge Chinese restaurant along Roe Street in Northbridge (derr!). The food was great and everyone enjoyed themselves. The night ended at around 10. So there you have it folks, my quick summary of the Sebestian and Eileen’s wedding. Once again, Congratulations! Check out some of the many photos that were taken that day,
